Noxious Weed Free Gravel and Hay Products
Weed Free gravel and hay products are key to the prevention of noxious and invasive weed invasions. If you are private individual or company or a government agency that desires, or is required, to use weed free products you may be able to find a company below that provides these products.
EOG, Naples City, Questar Gas Company, Questar Pipeline Company, Ouray National Wildlife Refuge, Dinosaur National Monument have expressed a desire to purchase and use noxious weed free products when possible.

GRAVEL PIT CERTIFICATIONS
1 - Weed Free Plus: No designated Noxious Weeds are present AND less than 1% of active pit area has other Weeds of Concern.
2 - Noxious Weed Free: No Utah/Uintah County designated Noxious Weeds are present.
3 - Conditional Use: LESS THAN 5% of the active pit area is infested with Utah and/or Uintah County designated Noxious Weeds. Noxious Weeds are not allowed to produce viable seed. Specific weed control measures are required.
4 - Quarantined: MORE THAN 5% of the active pit area contains Utah and/or Uintah County designated Noxious Weeds. Active pit area may not be excavated and sand/gravel products may not be transported from the pit area until the Noxious Weeds have been controlled to within acceptable levels OR all sand/gravel products must be heat treated to 300 degrees F and either sold or transported to a Noxious Weed Free area for storage within 24 hours.
Weed Free Hay
There are a number of growers in this area that offer weed free hay. The Utah Department of Agriculture & Food has jurisdiction to inspect this product. To see a current list of local suppliers go to the following link
